Expansion of Britannia Stadium Will Impact Staffordshire
Staffordshire is a county located in the West Midlands. Landlocked on all sides, the county includes part of the National Forest and has an overall population of 848,500 based on the last census taken in 2011. Major cities include Stoke-on-Trent, the largest in the county, Lichfield and Stafford.
Britannia Stadium, built in 1997, is the county's main site for hosting sports and entertainment. The stadium is the home of the Stoke City Football Club, one of the UK's oldest football teams. “The Potters”, as the team is known, was started in 1863 and competed at the historic Victoria Ground for over a hundred years before relocating to the new stadium.
Construction of Britannia Stadium
Engine forklifts staffordshire, powered with gas and/or diesel fuel, were used during many stages of the stadium's initial construction. The forklift Newcastle are able to transport up to eight tonnes as well as lift objects as high as seven meters high. These forklift truck Newcastle were essential to carrying bricks, concrete and other materials used to build the stadium's outer structure. Equipped with pneumatic tyres, the forklift staffordshire were ideal vehicles for carrying objects on concrete, grass and dirt surfaces to various locations within and around the construction site.
Electric forklift hire Newcastle , powered by batteries that can last up to eight hours, were used indoors during the process of assembling and installation of lighting equipment, signage and carpeting needed to outfit the building's concession stands, bathrooms and multiple conference room areas. Once the stadium was completed, building staff then used hand powered pallet trucks, capable of moving up to three tonnes, to carry food, beverage and team merchandise into storage and sales areas around the complex for purchase by fans attending a football match or a concert.
Stadium Expansion Will Increase Ticket Sales and Attendance
Though the stadium is designed to hold up to 28,000 plus spectators, the football club recently approved plans to add up to 2,000 additional seats near the scoreboard. To assist in the process, workers will use boom lifts to raise them to heights over 10 meters. The boom lifts, that can be rotated in 360 degrees in any direction, will allow the operator to raise each seat from the stadium floor up to its desired position in the section between the Seddon and Marston Pedigree stands next to the scoreboard. Workers will then bolt each seat into the stadium's foundation as well as make needed repairs or replacements to existing seating in the section.
The new project is expected to be completed by the middle of next year and will increase ticket availability for both football matches and entertainment events held at the stadium.
